Introduction
dumppp ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
Information We Collect
Notion Account Data
When you connect your Notion account via OAuth, we receive access to:
- Your Notion workspace information
- Databases you explicitly grant access to
- Pages and content within those databases
Access Permissions: We request the minimum permissions necessary to deliver the core functionality of the app, including the ability to read, update, and create pages, blocks, and comments, as well as to read Notion user information without email addresses.
User Information: We access limited user information (display name, profile picture URL) to show who created or last edited a post. We do not request access to your email address or any other sensitive account settings. This information is used only within the app interface.
Notion OAuth Token
The Notion OAuth token we obtain is used only for posting (write) and loading your timeline (read). This token is encrypted and stored in the iOS Keychain on your device. It is never sent to our servers.
Data Stored Locally
The following data is stored only on your device:
- OAuth tokens (securely stored in iOS Keychain)
- App settings and preferences
- Cached timeline data for offline access
- Tab configurations and filters
How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Display your Notion database content within the app
- Create and update pages in your Notion databases
- Provide offline access to your data
- Improve app functionality and user experience
Data Storage and Security
We do not operate any servers that store your Notion data. All your data is:
- Stored locally on your device
- Transmitted directly between your device and Notion's servers
- Protected using iOS security features including Keychain for sensitive data
Note: We use secure Vercel Serverless Functions for Notion OAuth callback processing and URL metadata (OGP) retrieval. These functions do not store or persist any of your Notion data.
Third-Party Services
dumppp integrates with the following third-party services:
- Notion - For data storage and synchronization (Notion Privacy Policy)
- Apple App Store - For subscription management
- Google Analytics - For website analytics (Google Privacy Policy)
- Google AdMob - For displaying advertisements in the app (Google Privacy Policy)
- Sentry - For crash reporting and error monitoring (Sentry Privacy Policy)
App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
In compliance with Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, dumppp will request your permission before tracking your activity across other companies' apps and websites for advertising purposes.
If you allow tracking: Google AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to deliver personalized ads based on your interests and measure ad effectiveness.
If you deny tracking: You will still see ads, but they will be non-personalized (contextual ads). The app's core functionality remains fully available regardless of your choice.
You can change your tracking preferences at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Advertising
dumppp displays native advertisements through Google AdMob. The type of ads you see depends on your App Tracking Transparency (ATT) choice:
- Personalized ads (if tracking allowed): Uses your IDFA to show ads based on your interests
- Contextual ads (if tracking denied): Shows general ads not based on your personal data
AdMob may collect the following information:
- Device identifiers (IDFA, if permitted via ATT)
- IP address (for geographic targeting)
- Device information (model, OS version)
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
You can control personalized advertising through your device's privacy settings:
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking (manage ATT permissions)
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising (limit Apple's ad personalization)
Note: Pro subscribers do not see advertisements, and no advertising-related data is collected from Pro users.
Crash Reporting and Error Monitoring
We use Sentry to collect crash reports and monitor errors. This helps us identify and fix issues to improve app stability.
What Sentry collects:
- Crash stack traces and error messages
- Device information (model, OS version, available memory)
- App state at the time of the crash
- Anonymous session information
What Sentry does NOT collect: We have configured Sentry to exclude personally identifiable information (PII). Your Notion content, OAuth tokens, and personal data are never sent to Sentry.
Analytics
Mobile App (Google Analytics): We use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with the app. This service collects anonymous usage data to help us improve the app experience.
Website (Google Analytics): Our website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our pages. Google Analytics may collect information such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent on each page. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Subscriptions
dumppp offers optional Pro subscriptions managed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not directly collect or process any payment information. All billing is handled by Apple according to their privacy policy.
Children's Privacy
dumppp is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
